Music

Music is an important part of BHPS. Although we do not often use instruments in services, there is a lot of singing, using both classical and modern Jewish tunes. Our Torah readings are usually leyned (chanted).

We also have two musical groups within the congregation: a choir which sings in our High Holy Day services, and an instrumental klezmer band which serenades us on special occasions. If you’re interested in joining either, be in touch!
