Conversion to Judaism

Deciding to join the Jewish people is a big decision, and BHPS is here to support you through it.

The first step is always a conversation with our rabbi, which you can arrange by contacting the office.

The conversion process itself normally includes a year of study, regular attendance at services and community events, and some reflective writing. Ultimately, you will have an appointment with Liberal Judaism’s beit din – a panel of three rabbis – and receive a lovely certificate!

But every case is different, and we will always tailor the process to your needs and your particular situation.
